This campaign will run on 702 and Cape Talk from 31 July 2023 until 20 September 2023.
To participate, listeners who need a boost to ignite their business must fill in an entry form on Igniteyourbusiness.co.za to potentially be selected as one of the Nedbank Business Ignite finalists.
The finalists will be selected by business expert Thuli Magubane and her team at Mint Fresh. These selected finalists will be profiled on-air on 702 and Cape Talk between 21 August and 01 September 2023.
Entries close 25 August 2023. On-air interviews featuring three campaign winners per station will take place between 18 to 20 September 2023.
On 702, the winning profiles will be aired once a day on Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa. On Cape Talk, the winning profiles will be aired once a day on Breakfast with Lester Kiewit.
Finalists will be requested to participate in the final judging process with representatives from Nedbank, Primedia Broadcasting and Mint Fresh on the 4th and 5th of September for the respective radio stations.
The judging process will take physically at a venue to be confirmed. All details will be timeously shared with each finalist, who will be allocated a specific time to interact with the judging panel.
This process will be observed by an external auditor.
Three winners will be announced on 702 and three winners will be announced on Cape Talk. The on-air winner announcement will take place during Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa on 702 and Breakfast with Lester Kiewit on Cape Talk from 18-20 September 2023.
Finalists will be consulted on availability prior to receiving an invite and if not present at the judging, they will be disqualified immediately. Each winner will receive the grand prize package, consisting of the following:
- A three-month business coaching package
- A media advertising package on either 702 or Cape Talk (or a combination of both) to the value of R100 000.
- R30 000 in cash.
The prize is not negotiable, not transferrable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The three winners will be contacted and required to avail themselves between 6 September and 15 September for a Primedia video crew to go to their premises to film their operations.
The participant’s business must be located within the Gauteng and Western Cape areas, within a . 100km from the 702 Sandton offices and 100km from the CapeTalk Sea Point offices.
702, Cape Talk, Nedbank and Mint Fresh will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason, and will not be responsible for network connectivity, hardware or any other issues experienced while participating.
Participants or their businesses will not be able to participate or be selected as a winner if they have received a prize on any Primedia station within the period 90 days prior to the Nedbank Business Ignite campaign commencing, whether on-air, online or via any of the station’s social-media platforms.
If a winner cannot be successfully contacted, is ineligible to accept the prize for any reason, or contravenes these terms and conditions or those of 702, Cape Talk or Nedbank, they will forfeit the prize. Primedia, Nedbank, 702 and Cape Talk reserve the right to cancel or amend this campaign and these terms and conditions without prior notice. Participants will be notified of any changes to the campaign as soon as reasonably possible by Primedia verbally and in writing. Employees of Nedbank, Primedia Broadcasting, 702 and Cape Talk and their immediate family and friends may not enter the campaign.
The personal information that is collected from a participant and processed by Primedia Proprietary Limited (“Primedia”) is done with the participant’s consent and in accordance with the Primedia Privacy Notice, available at Privacy Policy - Primedia. The personal information that a participant provides to Primedia in entering this competition will be processed purely for the purposes related and ancillary to this competition. Primedia will not share a participant’s personal information further unless Primedia so requires in terms of law or in terms of a legitimate business purpose. A participant may write to Primedia at info@primedia.co.za if a participant has any questions regarding how Primedia processes the personal information a participant provides.
